Sarkaar 2 is an upcoming Tamil political action film listed on current 2026 release-calendar slates for theatrical distribution. Building upon political themes of governance, civic duty, and systemic resistance, the project anticipates high-voltage cinematic confrontations and mass commercial appeal.

Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu (Part I: The Kindling) is a gritty Tamil gangster-epic directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon. The film chronicles the harrowing transformation of Muthu, a vulnerable young boy from a rural Tamil Nadu village who migrates to Mumbai seeking livelihood, only to get sucked into the ruthless syndicate wars of the city's underworld. Driven by Silambarasan's raw, restrained performance, A. R. Rahman's haunting musical score, and realistic action set-pieces, the film de-romanticizes gangster life with profound grittiness.
